Incredible Art Deco Opera Coat with Portrait Collar & Bishop Sleeves

Sold Out

Product Details

This has to be the most incredible opera coat I've ever seen. The color of the velvet is a cross between burgundy and rust, very unique. Full length (extra long) with a loose fitting, roomy cut. Single button at the collar leaves the front of the coat open so it billows behind you as you walk. The sleeves are bishop style, full and roomy with fitted cuffs and detailed stitching. The collar is, without a doubt, the star of the show. It is sewn in a sculptural style, unlike anything I've ever seen, and can be worn in several different ways. If left open, it can be worn down over the shoulders, like epaullettes. When closed it can be raised up and folded over around the neck and if you're feeling like royalty, it can be worn up, around the face in a dramatic portrait collar. There are a few small marks in the velvet, typical of the textile and completely normal, nothing that detracts from the overall look and wearability of this piece. Absolutely stunning!
