1930s Kathryn Vrooman Winter Day Dress with Funnel Cuffs & Soutache Trim

Sold Out

Product Details

A wonderful example of a 1930s day dress!

Textile is unmarked, burn tests as viscose/rayon. This winter day dress is dark brown with long sleeves, funnel cuffs and soutache trim. Collar has an attached ascot style detail. The back of skirt is sewn with six thin panels down the center that flare a bit at them hem. Cummerbund style belt is completely removable. A lovely dress for autumn of winter wear!

Condition: Very Good - This dress has a few minor issues that need to be noted. 13" from the bottom of the back hem, there is a small hole, about half a centimeter, along a seam. The hole could be eliminated if the seam is slightly altered, or can be worn as is. 5" above the waistband, in the back of the dress, there is a small 1mm hole. There is some subtle fading along the shoulders and side of the dress.  Fading is even and gradual. The belt has one snap closure left. I will let the new owner add new snaps to accommodate a more exact fit. Dress seems quite strong and presents beautifully!
