1950s Black Taffeta Party Dress with White Cuffs

Product Details

This 1950s party dress has some beautiful and unique details...like a front panel that you can run a belt underneath! The textile is unmarked, black taffeta with white cotton sleeve cuffs. This dress is lightweight and unlined. The bodice has a lovely v-neck with three-quarter length sleeves, and the body of the dress is fitted at the waist with a full skirt. The panel down the front of the dress has an opening on either side, so you could slip a ribbon or fabric belt underneath and tie it in the back. A very unique detail! There is some dust creasing on the back of the arms (see second to last image), but this is subtle and this dress presents beautifully.
