Large 1950s Black Dress and Overskirt

Sold Out

Product Details

This listing is for one dress and one over skirt. The textile is unmarked but feels like silk. Unique black dress with attachable matching skirt. Pencil dress has a v-shaped boat neck with a low scoop back. The 3/4 sleeves have a unique bell cuff. The removable skirt has a gathered front and gives the ensemble a peplum affect. Both the dress and skirt have weighted hems. Made by Canadian couturier Ellen Peterson, this piece was from her personal wardrobe. The garments have couture construction and are hand finished. This is literally a one of a kind piece in great condition.

Condition Details: Very Good - The dress is in excellent condition. The overskirt has some very subtle inconsistency in the color overall. This would not be visible in low light.
