1930s Yellow Floral Dress with Open Sleeve Jacket

Product Details

A spectacular set in a rare, hard to find size! The textile is cold rayon in a yellow, brown, and white daisy print. The dress has a large, sheer brown lace collar and lace across the shoulders and upper back. Sleeveless with a loose fitting bodice, slightly fitted waist and straight skirt. The hem has angled, decorative pleats in the front.

The jacket is extraordinary! Made so the lace dress collar lays over the jacket collar, V-neck with a single button closure at the waist and border print trim. The sleeves are balloon style, each sleeve is split from the front of the armpit to the cuff, revealing the arms, border print along each split.

Both pieces do have issues. The dress: Hole in the lace under the right armpit. Numerous brown stains on the skirt, tough to see in the print, but there is one large stain at the center above the hem. A few small holes throughout, minor fading throughout. The jacket: Minor fading throughout, a few small holes, button needs replaced. Issues are tough to find due to the print, so I may have missed something. Overall this dress is strong, presents beautifully and has really lovely details.
