Product Details

This listing is for one cape. Textile is unmarked. Guipure lace cape. This beautiful cape is a mixture of ivory and white lace motifs. These are in the guipure style which is a type of bobbin lace that connects the motifs with bars instead of mesh or net. Very lovely floral theme throughout. The embroidery in the white sections is very thick. Two layer collar and a sweep over 84". The binding over the inside neck seam has some small holes and a there is a brown stain on the collar. Some brown staining on the back of the cape near the middle. There is an area on the back near the bottom where the bars that connect the white embroidery motifs has been torn. Presents beautifully overall. This is an absolutely gorgeous piece.
