What a find! This is a navy blue wool tuxedo jacket with black grosgrain peaked lapels and buttons. Double breasted with no vent, jetted pockets, fully lined. This jacket was styled and signed by Robert Surrey, Hart Schaffner & Marx's "fashion scout" in the 1930's. He was responsible for making sure "that the styles finally offered reflect top-notch taste and up-to-the-minute smartness (so that) you can depend on Hart Schaffner and Marx clothes to be smart without being freakish". Nobody wants to be freakish!
