1940s Pink Taffeta Gown with Velvet Applique

Sold Out

Product Details

The textile of this dress is unmarked, pink taffeta, and is lightweight. This dress has short, puffed sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, a fitted waist, and a long skirt. The skirt is shorter in the front and longer in the back, and there is velvet applique down the front and on the sleeves of this dress. There are numerous areas of discoloration on the front of the dress and all around the hem, including large water marks. In addition, there is some stress to the bodice seams at the waist and wear to the velvet applique (see images). This dress would be great for a study collection, as a pattern piece, or for theater/costume use.
