1950s Red Party Dress with Black Taffeta Bow

This dress is just gorgeous! The textile is heavy weight faille in bright red with a flocked velvet design in black. Low cut scoop neck, dolman sleeves, fitted waist and very full skirt. Attached at each side of the waist there are wide pieces of gathered black taffeta that tie in the back. Very well made with lovely details like pattern matching, bra strap attachments, etc.

There are a few small issues to note. The taffeta strips have numerous holes throughout, especially toward the tips. There are some stains on the back of the skirt, they hide well within the gathers. These issues are not obvious when worn, dress presents beautifully.
