1960s Beaded Wedding Ensemble with a Sleeveless Dress and Formal Opera Coat
Sold Out
Product Details
An absolutely stunning, one of a kind 1960s wedding set! This set includes one wedding dress and one formal opera coat. The textile is unmarked, feels like a wool/silk blend. This is a heavier weight set, due to the beading. The color is ivory. The sleeveless dress is pencil style and zips up the back. Heavily beaded bodice is made in two layers, the beaded layer also zips up the back. Both pieces are attached at the neckline. Dress is fully lined and finished, with additional hanging support. Extensive beading on bodice includes loose, fringe-like pieces and prong-set rhinestones. Matching opera coat is loose fitting with short sleeves, a funnel collar, and pockets, and closes at the collar. Under arm gussets and open front. Both pieces are very well made with excellent construction!
Condition: Very Good - One rhinestone is missing on the coat, beading is strong and intact on both pieces. There is a small, very subtle area of discoloration on the coat, front right, near the knee. It was too light to capture in photos, tough to see even when looking for it. There may be loose or missing beads that we have overlooked, this is normal of heavily beaded garments and is to be expected. This set presents beautifully!
