This is a pair of 1955 style 501XX jeans. Manufactured in 1996 at the start of Levi's Vintage Clothing, now known as LVC. Salmon pink label with original price tag. Rigid, unwashed Cone Mills denim in a classic rockabilly fit. Narrow-weave, ring spun, red line selvedge denim is nice and stiff in the classic dark indigo color. Big E red tab, hidden rivets, watch pocket with outseam selvedge, paper tag. These jeans have the Valencia Street ID on the top button, stamped 555, and were made at the original Levis factory on Valencia Street in San Francisco which is now closed. Collectors consider these early LVC items to be the finest reproductions Levi's have ever made.
