1940s Navy Wool Cape Uniform Autumn Outerwear

Sold Out

Product Details

A medium weight wool cape in contrasting navy and yellow. Hooks at the neckline and drapes over the shoulders with no arm holes. Yellow cording trim with decorative corner detailing. Hooks at the hem corners allow the cape to be worn held back to reveal the 'A' appliqués.

Condition: Good
Condition Details: Wear and discoloration to cording trim, it's a bit gray on the edges, most notably at hem corners. One of the 'A' appliqués has about 1" of felt that was not sewn down, this looks like an original error when constructing the garment. Several moth holes, the most significant of which are pictured. The collar hook has worn a hole through the textile under it, along the inner collar, not visible when worn. A few spots and stains in the yellow, and discoloration of the yellow fabric around hemline. In strong, wearable condition overall.
