XL 1940s Black Silk Taffeta Gown

Sold Out

Product Details

This listing is for one dress. The textile is unmarked but feels like silk taffeta. Wow, just a stunning postwar evening gown. The bodice has a layered sweetheart neckline with light nude straps holding it up. The massive circle skirt is smocked creating an interesting texture. Despite the age, the gown is still in good condition to be worn.

Condition Details: Very Good - Mesh straps don't appear to be original. The back waist looks like it was altered at one point, then restored, there are a couple of seam lines that are barely visible. There is subtle spotting on the top of the bodice. Difficult to see unless you look closely. Looks lovely overall!
