XS-Small 1910s Black Lace Overlay Beaded Dress

Sold Out

Product Details

This listing is for one dress. The textile is unmarked. Amazing, original Edwardian dress! The gown is made from mulberry floral lace with a sheer, black overlay. The two fabrics together create an overall deep purple color. Silver glass beads decorate the center front and back, neck, sleeves, and hem of the garment. The neck has a high, black lace collar. The waist is defined with a black ruffle. Black fringe adorn the cuffs and hem. Truly a one of a kind piece in great condition!

Condition Details: Very Good - The previous owner said that it is possible that parts this dress may have been restored at some point If so, they did a lovely job as it is not noticable. There is a small hole in the center of the hem on the underlayer. There is some discoloration to the front of the underlayer, which is difficult to see when worn. Beading appears strong and intact, but there may be loose or missing beading that we overlooked and isn't noted, this is typical of beaded garments and to be expected. Strong and wearable with care.
