XXS 1890s Victorian Wool Challis Bodice

This listing is for one bodice. Textile is an unmarked mid weight wool challis with silk and velvet. Antique bodice features fabulous high still collar decorated with blue velvet striping, lace appliqué, and velvet ribbon flower at back of neck. It has a pointed cape style collar at front and back with shirred silk panel, velvet number / pound signs or hashtags (!), more lace appliqué details, absolutely fabulous bishop sleeves with lace appliqué at each cuff, velvet band at waist, boning on inside, and hidden panel of hook & eye closures up the front.

Condition Details: Very Good Condition. Bodice is in remarkable condition for its age. It has a few scattered moth bites and pinholes throughout, but many are very small and not obvious. The lace details are discolored in areas, as is the silk shirring across the chest. This piece is wearable with much care and presents beautifully.
